The new horror film “Malignant,” the latest project by Australian director Jason Wan, who also directed “Saw,” “Insidious” and “The Conjuring,” premieres on HBO Max on Friday, Sept. 10. The film is also available in theaters across the country.

The film follows Madison, a woman who is followed by a demon spirit who is exposing her to visions of gruesome murders. She is on a mission to find out why the spirit chose her and where it came from.

“Malignant” stars Annabelle Wallis, Jake Abel, George Young, Jacqueline McKenzie, Mckenna Grace, Maddie Hasson, Michole Briana White, Jon Lee Brody, Paula Marshall as Beverly Woods and Patrick Cox as Mr. Stanley.
