Gogglebox favourite Pete Sandiford and his fiancée Paige Yeomans have welcomed their first baby together. Congratulations, both!
Pete, who appears on the Channel 4 series alongside his sister Sophie, first revealed the happy news that he was due to become a father on Gogglebox itself, showing Sophie a scan photo on his phone.
Now, five months on, the little one is finally here.
Speaking to The Mirror at last night's (September 9) National Television Awards, Pete confirmed that their baby boy had arrived. "It's a bit overwhelming, got it all going on at the moment," he said.
As well as revealing that the "cool little lad takes after his mum", Pete reflected on the realities of parenting a newborn. "I've been up all night," he admitted.
"I slept on the train here. [I've usually] got suitcases under my eyes, you just got me at a good time now."
Both Pete and his sister Sophie had a busy night at yesterday's NTAs, leading the cast's acceptance speech following Gogglebox's win for Best Factual Show.
After Sophie thanked fans for voting, Pete took the mic and paid tribute to the behind-the-scenes Gogglebox team. "We just want to say a massive thank you to Channel 4 and the cast and crew," he said.
"None of it would be possible without you. The crew work tirelessly to get the show out in such a short amount of time."
Julie Malone also stepped up to finish the speech, taking the moment to pay tribute to the Gogglebox stars that we've lost over the past year or so.
"On behalf of the Gogglebox family, I would just like to say a massive thanks for this award and on a sadder note, I'd like to dedicate it to all the people we've lost over the last 18 months," Julie said.
"Andy, Pete, Mary and everybody's favourite grandma June who has been reunited with Leon."
