L.A. Sheriff Villanueva Calls Attack on Larry Elder a Hate Crime

(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva believes Wednesday’s attack on recall candidate, conservative Larry Elder was a hate crime. Elder cut his tour of homeless encampments in Venice short after getting surrounded by angry protesters. One of those protesters, a white woman in a gorilla mask, threw an egg at him. Yesterday, Villanueva tweeted “how this not a hate crime?,” then blamed so-called “woke privilege” for politicians turning a blind eye to the attack and not calling the woman a racist for targeting a Black man. The woman also allegedly punched a member of Elder’s security team, before Elder was rushed into an SUV and driven away.
