Texans take their state’s “everything is bigger in Texas’ slogan very seriously, which is why any time something new comes to Texas; they have to make sure it is truly massive. The latest example of this comes from a new Ferris wheel coming to the Lone Star state that will rival the iconic Texas Star Ferris wheel at Fair Park. The new 180 ft. Ferris wheel will give riders a never before seen view of North Texas.

Designed by Dutch Wheels, the new Grandscape Ferris wheel will open up to riders in The Colony on September 10. The ride features 42 climate-controlled gondolas with music for riders to enjoy, with each gondola seating up to eight people. While not quite as tall as the 212 ft. Texas Star at Fair Park, the Grandscape Ferris wheel will be open for riders every Wednesday through Sunday throughout the year, according to Dallas Culture Map.

“We are so proud to bring the Grandscape Wheel to The Colony, Texas and be a part of the immersive entertainment lineup at Grandscape along with Nebraska Furniture Mart, Andretti Indoor Karting, and Games and Scheels,” said Jim Riggs, Developer and Managing Partner of SouthWest Wheel Partners. For Texans, it’s just another thing Texas does better than the rest of the country.
