When it comes to the tuning of supercars, there's a very fine line between tasteful modification and unnecessary extremism. A company that blurs that line through sheer innovation is 1016 Industries. Earlier this year, the company built the world's first McLaren 720S finished in exposed carbon fiber. The tuner has also made cars like the Lamborghini Urus and Ferrari F8 Tributo more extreme, but it has now returned to the McLaren 720S with the purple creation you see below. Fresh off its debut at Pebble Beach's Monterey Car Week, this 720S is a bold creation that's worth a mindblowing $650,000.

Like the tuning house's previous creations, this purple monster is a big fan of the sixth element on the periodic table.

"Since day one, purple was really the boldest color that 1016 Industries could think of to showcase a fully exposed carbon 720S. Everything was designed to complement all the small details on the car," says company founder Peter Northrop. "For this 720S, our carbon fiber work is the centerpiece. In addition to the unique styling and design, the benefits of integrating carbon fiber materials into exotic platforms like the 720 [are] undeniable. At 1016 Industries, our focus is perfecting how the best-applied materials can be used to make exotics not only stand out, but outperform at every level."

Along with a stage 2 tune from BF that boosts output to a kidney-punching 900 horsepower, the 720S has lost over 250 pounds of weight thanks to its carbon fiber upgrades. A stainless steel exhaust system has also been fitted to announce the car's arrival to those wearing very dark sunglasses. 1016 Industries says that demand for its products has been "amazing", and creating another carbon-rich 720S is a way for the tuner to further grow brand awareness, not only of the tuner's expertise in design and tuning, but also in its carbon fiber and 3D-printing technologies.
