New Movies and Shows to Stream This Weekend: Scenes from a Marriage, LuLaRich and Lucifer: The Final Season

This Friday you will find a ton of hot movies and shows on the streaming sites, but let’s take a beat and focus on some notable highlights! Netflix is dishing out some big titles this weekend, including the action/adventure flick Kate and the final season of the sci-fi series, Lucifer! Dive into a labyrinth of conspiracy and pyramid schemes while watching LuLaRich on Amazon Prime Video, the true crime docuseries about the company LuLaRoe. And then HBO Max has got some very big hitters coming out this weekend, including the Warner Bros. movie Malignant and the highly-anticipated romantic drama miniseries, Scenes From a Marriage starring Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac. These options are just the tip of the iceberg, so check out the rest of the hit movies and shows now available to stream below:

New on Netflix September 10: Lucifer: The Final Season

Oh my god — correction: oh my Lucifer! The sixth and final season of the sinfully great sci-fi series is new on Netflix this weekend. Last we left this anti-hero and his band of crime-fighting friends, Lucifer waged a great battle and was just crowned the next God, taking over for his (heavenly) father. But before he assumes his place in the sky, this angel has unfinished business on Earth — namely his relationship with Chloe. And not only that, but it looks like the war is not won just yet. So will Lucifer ascend to his rightful place, or are we all going to hell? Get prepared to say goodbye to this beloved series — and one of the top shows new on Netflix this month — starting this weekend.

New on Amazon Prime Video September 10: LuLaRich

New on Amazon Prime Video this weekend is LuLaRich, the exposing documentary series about LuLaRoe, the online women’s apparel company that went from a fast-growing retail phenomenon to an alleged viral multi-level marketing scam. Featuring testimonies from former members, lawyers and even the founders of the enterprise, this four-part true-crime docuseries seeks to tell the true story behind the company founded in 2012 to inspire women that quickly turned into a parasitic, misogynistic pyramid scheme — allegedly. Maybe next time people will think twice about an opportunity that seems “too good to be true” after watching LuLaRich.

New on HBO Max September 12: Scenes From a Marriage

Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac are couple goals in Scenes From a Marriage — or an honest look at couple goals, really. Built upon Ingmar Bergman’s 1973 Swedish classic series of the same name, this Scenes From a Marriage explores the original show’s iconic depiction of love. But this time, the love — and accompanying hatred, desire, jealousy and more — is analyzed through the lens of a modern-day couple (played fantastically by Chastain and Isaac) who battle with issues surrounding monogamy, marriage and divorce in today’s society. This dramatic limited series is already making waves and is sure to unearth heaping amounts of complex emotions in the hearts of the viewers who watch Scenes From a Marriage, new on HBO Max this weekend.
