A 1-year-old child has been found dead inside a home in Morrisania, police say.

Police say officers arrived at the Webster Houses Thursday around 3 p.m. and found 1-year-old Legacy Beauford with bruising and trauma to his body.

Police say the baby boy was taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No one is in custody at this time.

Leaders within the community are urging parents to keep a close eye on their kids.

The case is still under investigation, and the medical examiner is working to determine how the baby died.
