Square Enix TGS 2021 lineup includes Forspoken, Guardians, and Final Fantasy

Three days of new info on publisher’s upcoming wares

Square Enix has offered up a glut of details regarding its upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2021 showcase. Scheduled to run October 1-3, the legendary publisher will have plenty of news, updates, and footage to spare regarding its catalog of upcoming PC, console, and mobile releases, complete with full English translations for us westward heads.

Square Enix TGS action will kick off on October 1 with an opening show and a “Lounge Jam” musical event, to be followed with an in-depth look at the recently revealed fantasy drama, Forspoken. October 2 brings updates on Guardians of the Galaxy, Dragon Quest X Offline, the SaGa series, and an interview with long-time Square Enix composer Nobuo Uematsu — we’ll also get a gander at the new content incoming for Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and feedback on Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin‘s recent trial edition.

October 3 will feature full overviews of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier and Deep Insanity: Asylum, as well as a live online play session in Final Fantasy XIV featuring the game’s director, Naoki Yoshida. There will also be further Dragon Quest X news and a workshop introducing beginners to the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game. All of the above streams will be available in Japanese on YouTube, NicoNico, and Twitch, with fully translated versions appearing on Square Enix’s English language YouTube channel soon after.
