Leslie Bordelon, 46, of Fifth Ward

A Mass of Christian Burial for Leslie Marie Johnson Bordelon will be held at 3:30PM on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at St. Martin of Tours Church with Rev. Kurian Zachariah officiating. Interment will follow in St. Martin of Tours Cemetery under the direction of Kramer of Fifth Ward.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 12, 2021, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 1:00 PM in the Kramer Chapel.
Leslie Bordelon, 46, of Fifth Ward, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Avoyelles Hospital.
Leslie is preceded in death by her father, Wayne Johnson, Sr. and her brother, Corey Dauzat.
Leslie was a schoolteacher for 21 years and an associate with John Kramer & Son Funeral Home for 12 years. As a devout Catholic, Leslie was a dedicated parishioner of St. Martin of Tours Church, where she also served as a CCD catechism teacher, Lecter and as an active member of the Altar Society. Leslie was active with the ACTS retreats and even teamed with them. She was always the caretaker and the consoler of any group. Leslie spent her spare time with her family and dogs at the camp hunting and fishing.
Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 27 years, Farrell (F.P.) Bordelon; her mother, Gertrude Dauzat (Gary); her three brothers, Wayne Johnson, Jr. (Debra), John Gary Dauzat (Jamie), Brandon Dauzat and numerous nieces and nephews. Leslie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Wayne Johnson, Brennan Johnson, Steven Bordelon, John Gary Dauzat, Josh Bonnette, and Gary Bonnette. Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial masses be given in her memory to St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1981 LA-114, Hessmer, LA, 71341.
