How to Play Multiplayer
Multiplayer is included in WarioWare: Get It Together! on the Nintendo Switch for all game modes except a select few. This page covers how to play local co-op, versus multiplayer, and online mode in WarioWare: Get It Together!
How to Play Local Co-op
Playing with friends locally in WarioWare: Get It Together! is easy. Press the + or - button on the main menu to add a player (and their controller). You can also use this method after choosing the Story Mode. You can see the icon for this in the bottom left of the screen, illustrated above.
In Story Mode, up to two players will work together to complete a series of microgames under a time limit to progress the story and unlock more stages and microgames.
After completing most of the Story Mode (See How to Unlock Everything for more details), you will unluck the Variety Pack, which includes nine minigames that can be played with between one and four players.
How to Play Local co-op with Two Nintendo switches
Story Mode can also be played by using Local Wireless with two Nintendo Switch systems and two copies of the game. This way, progress in the Story Mode will be counted for both WarioWare save states. The icon for this option is in the bottom right of the main screen.
- Click the Local Wireless icon on the main screen
- Switch 1 will need to create a room.
- Switch 2 will need to join the room after Switch 1 has created one.
Variety Pack Games
The Variety Pack is unlocked after completing 12 stages in the Story Mode. This is the list of multiplayer games in the Variety Pack with how many players can participate in each.
- Gotta Bounce - 1-4 players
- Daily Grind - 1-4 players
- High Five - 1-4 players
- Duelius Maximus - 2 players
- Rising Star - 2 players
- Balloon Bang - 2-4 players
- Sly Angle - 2-4 players
- Puck 'er Up - 2-4 players
- Frenemy Frenzy - 2-4 players
Online in WarioWare: Get It Together!
Unfortunately, there is no online multiplayer in WarioWare: Get It Together! in the traditional sense, but there is an online mode where you can compare your scores against others. After completing the Story, you will unlock Wario Cup, which is WarioWare's online ranked mode. Complete the weekly challenge, earn a score, and see where you rank against other WarioWare players. You need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription in order to be ranked.
