A couple of changes for the purple

We’ve got the second injury reports of the week for the Cincinnati Bengals and your Minnesota Vikings, and there are a couple of changes on the report for our favorite football team. Let’s take a look at both teams here, starting with the visitors.

Minnesota Vikings

Did Not Participate

  • LB Anthony Barr (knee, downgrade from LP on Wednesday)

Limited Participation

  • OT Christian Darrisaw (groin)

Full Participation

  • TE Tyler Conklin (hamstring, upgrade from LP on Wednesday)
  • RB Alexander Mattison (ribs)
  • S Josh Metellus (ankle)
  • WR Dede Westbrook (knee)

Obviously, Barr not taking part in today’s practice session is bad news and doesn’t bode terribly well for his chances of playing on Sunday. We’ll see what Friday’s practice holds, but I wouldn’t wager on us seeing #55 out there when the team hits the field at Paul Brown Stadium.

On the other hand, Conklin being upgraded is definitely a positive sign, given the expectations that are going to be put on him in the wake of Irv Smith Jr.’s injury. Hopefully he won’t show any regression when tomorrow’s practice comes around.

Now, on to the home team.

Cincinnati Bengals

Did Not Participate

  • CB Trae Waynes (hamstring, already declared out for Sunday)

Limited Participation

No players listed

Full Participation

  • G Trey Hill (hip)
  • TE Mitchell Wilcox (concussion)

No changes on the report for the Bengals in their second practice of the week.

We’ll have the final injury reports for you tomorrow afternoon, folks.
