Exclusive interview: Amelia Gotham, voice of Mipha in Age of Calamity and Breath of the Wild

Zelda Universe has a special surprise for you! For the first time ever, our Voice Director Alex Trevino had the chance to sit down in a rare interview with Amelia Gotham, the voice of Princess Mipha from Breath of the Wild and Age of Calamity. The graceful voice actor lent her time with us to open up and share her experience playing the character. Tender moments were revealed as Amelia shared her love for the character. Fascinating topics were also covered, including Amelia’s voice acting methods, her thoughts on Link and Mipha, and even her favorite seafood. And yes, there was plenty to mention about Sidon!

Amelia Gotham is a rising star in the voice acting sphere. Her professional training includes classic theater and Shakespeare. Prior to Breath of the Wild and Age of Calamity, Amelia acted in various minor roles in film and television for over a decade. But upon the discovery of voice acting Mipha, the realization of voice acting virtually in any role fast became an exciting prospect to Amelia. Her sweet, quiet spirit is no doubt the source behind this beautiful character.

Please note: There are some significant Age of Calamity spoilers in this interview, so it may be wise to wait until you’ve finished the game before watching the video. In the meantime, you can also check out our spoiler-free interviews with Jacob Craner and Patricia Summersett.
