Dallas Cowboys legend Jason Witten will make his Liberty Christian home coaching debut on Friday night when the Warriors host Dallas Christian.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Warrior Stadium.

Witten won his first game as Liberty Christian’s head coach last week, as the Warriors dominated Frisco Legacy Christian Academy 55-13. Liberty Christian racked up 535 total yards in the victory, as Steel Doss and Jacob Vaughan combined to throw for four touchdowns.

Doss also ran for 102 yards and two scores. Caden Novarro scampered for 159 yards and a touchdown.

Witten was hired as Liberty Christian’s coach on Feb. 1 following the departure of Steven Greek. Witten was a member of the Cowboys from 2003-2017, and after his first retirement stint, rejoined the team in 2019.

Witten spent the 2020 season with the Las Vegas Raiders before retiring for a second time.

He is Dallas’ all-time leader in receptions and is second in NFL history in receptions by a tight end.
