Pittsburgh Steelers star linebacker TJ Watt signed a massive 4-year, $112 million extension on Thursday, and his big brother JJ certainly shared in the excitement. Maybe he shared in it a little too much, though, as he took to sharing a hilarious Tweet his feelings on the deal, which made TJ the highest paid-pass defender across the entire NFL:

Though the Tweet was made in jest, there's no doubt that JJ has spent some good coin on buying things for TJ and the rest of the Watt family while he was the only one who had gone pro.

In fact, JJ has made over $100 million in career earnings from contracts alone, which puts him at a good head start over his brother in a hypothetical race to earn more money.

It still seems ridiculous, though, that TJ will be earning over the next 4 years alone only a few million less (112 to 115) than what JJ has earned over his entire career, which includes 3 NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards.

It will fascinating to watch how each of their careers play out. The best guess at the moment is that TJ will overtake his older brother as the better player in terms of accumulating total stats throughout an entire career, while JJ will be known as the more dominant force when he is/was healthy. Remember, JJ eclipsed 17 sacks in 3 out of 4 seasons from 2012-2015, missed the vast majority of the next two seasons, and then came back to get 16 sacks the next year. Ridiculous.

Let's not try to get too caught up in comparing these two amazing brothers to each other, though. They are each two fantastic players in their own right, and we should appreciate this rare type of greatness while we can.

Either way, TJ Watt sure is going to be enjoying his greatness. $112 million is not too shabby.
