Who plays the older Cal in Manifest season 4?

Since Manifest was saved by Netflix, the ball is officially rolling on setting up the fourth and final season. The brief but unfortunate cancellation of the series has forced Netflix to rebuild the series, and that includes securing the main cast members for Manifest season 4.

When Netflix announced that the series had been saved, series leads Josh Dallas and Melissa Roxburgh were already on board, and J.R. Ramirez was finishing his deal. However, many of the show’s regular cast members were still in negotiations to return for the final episodes.

Thankfully, a handful of Manifest favorites were able to lock in deals for season 4, with Parveen Kaur, Luna Blaise and Holly Taylor set to reprise their key roles as Saanvi, Olive and Angelina in the final season on Netflix. While one regular now remains, another will be replaced by a new actor.

Going into Manifest season 4, Manifesters might be wondering what will happen with Jack Messina and his character Cal Stone. Without giving away any of the spoilery details, a new cast member will join the series when it comes to Netflix. Warning: Manifest season 3 spoilers ahead!

Who plays Cal in Manifest season 4?

Unfortunately, Jack Messina will not return as a series regular for season 4, per a report from Deadline. Messina leaves the series after playing Cal Stone, the son of Ben and Grace, for all three seasons and will be replaced by actor Ty Doran.

Doran guest starred as the older Cal Stone in the season 3 finale in shocking twist that aged Cal back up to the age he should be. After Cal touched the tailfin and disappeared, he mysteriously reappeared in time to say goodbye to his mom, Grace (Athena Karkanis, who’s also leaving the series), following her fatal stabbing.

It’s unclear whether Messina will appear in any capacity, whether it’s a recurring stint in flashbacks or what have you, but we’re glad to welcome Ty Doran aboard the mystery of Flight 828. Not to mention, we’re ready to find out more about what happened to Cal during his disappearance and why he’s sure they know what they need to do.
