Nothing like firming up your New Year’s Eve plans before the fall even begins…

Most of the time, these kind of country music TV specials are generally pretty awful, but hey, at least it’s something to do when all the bars are closed this year because we’re neck deep another awful fucking Covid lockdown.

Anyways, CBS is presenting New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, kicking off at 8pm on New Year’s Eve.

The event will air live from downtown Nashville across multiple locations, and include the likes of Jason Aldean, Jimmie Allen, Kelsea Ballerini, Gabby Barrett, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Dan + Shay, Elle King, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Cole Swindell, and Zac Brown Band.

More artists will be announced on a later date.

The five-hour bash will include 50 performances from all across the city, including Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.

Not gonna lie, I’m quite underwhelmed by the list. However, the great news is that ol’ Ronnie and Kix will be out there killing it.

Couldn’t get Tyler Childers? Couldn’t get Sturgill? Couldn’t get a few more artists that make actual country music? C’mon man…

Stay tuned.
