(670 The Score) White Sox manager Tony La Russa had good news on the injury front Thursday afternoon.

The White Sox are set to get a few key players back soon, notably in their ailing pitching rotation. Left-hander Carlos Rodon is scheduled to start Friday evening after being pushed back due to shoulder fatigue, while the plan is for ace Lance Lynn (right knee inflammation) to go Sunday and right-hander Lucas Giolito (left hamstring strain) to pitch Tuesday. Both Lynn and Giolito are currently on the 10-day injured list.

Lynn last pitched on Aug. 28, while Giolito last pitched Aug. 31.

La Russa also had promising news to share on outfielder Eloy Jimenez, who was struck on the left knee by a line drive while in the White Sox’s dugout Tuesday. He sat out Wednesday and was out of the starting lineup Thursday too with knee soreness, but he could be ready Friday.

“His leg is too sore to play today,” La Russa said Thursday. “He is better, and we hope to have him back tomorrow.”
