GH Alum Chloe Lanier Shares Exciting News With Fans!

Tags:

Please join us in congratulating GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Chloe Lanier (ex-Nelle) on winning yet another award! Not content with the Daytime Emmy Award she took home for her work on the daytime soap, the actress partnered with boyfriend Kevan McClellan to write and direct a short film that resulted in another prize!

“Over the moon to announce that Kevan and I’s directorial debut, The Reveal, just won Best Comedy at the New York Movie Awards!” she announced on Instagram. “From Jackie Brown to The King of Comedy, there’s nothing I love more than subversive humor. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this movie possible!”

The plot of this dark comedy revolves around a couple attending their hippie friends’ gender reveal party where things naturally spiral wildly out of control. The short film also includes some familiar faces from GH — Josh Swickard (Chase) and real-life wife Lauren play the expectant parents and Brytni Sarpy (ex-Valerie; now Elena, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) is another one of the guests.

“Woo hoo!” cheered fellow actor and filmmaker Jon Lindstrom (Kevin/Ryan) in the comments. “A great award for a terrific film! Well done! Huzzah!” And other former GH castmates also joined the fans and friends in congratulating Lanier, including Anthony Montgomery (ex-Andre), Briana Nicole Henry (Jordan), and Rebeca Budig (ex-Hayden).

While a trailer teasing the film was released two years ago, the full project is not yet available for public viewing… at least not yet! It’s clearly still screening at film festivals, and could perhaps rack up more awards in the future. But keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com because we’ll be sure to let you know just as soon as you’re able to watch all of The Reveal for yourself!
