Keanu Reeves is seen filming John Wick 4 in Berlin with a body double by his side... as the trailer for his next Matrix movie drops
The 57-year-old actor was spotted with the look alike in Gendarmenmarkt, a square in Berlin's Mitte district.
The scene was being shot at nighttime and the two could be seen surrounded by a production crew as they approached a black car.
The pair wore identical black suits with white collared shirts and black ties.
Their dark neck-length hair was a bit disheveled for the takes and they sported short beards.
The fourth addition to the franchise is due out May 27, 2022.
In April of last year, series director Chad Stahelski spoke to Collider and noted that the project's creative team had set their bar much higher for the upcoming film from its inception.
'We submitted an idea or thematic [plan] and it was really big. So, we're talking about doing a little bit more than a [John Wick 4], or something like that, and trying to develop that,' he said.
The filmmaker also expressed that the development team had a relatively fleshed-out story in mind for the forthcoming feature and that they were glad to have a roadmap of sorts.
The film's December 22 release will come 18 years after The Matrix Revolutions, originally intended to be the final chapter in a trilogy documenting the transformation of computer hacker Thomas Anderson - played by Reeves - into cybercriminal Neo after he inadvertently discovers the ordinary world he inhabits is actually a simulated reality.
Stretching out the anticipation ahead of Thursday's launch, fans were treated with an ad featuring red and blue pills sitting side by side beneath the stark message: 'The choice is yours.'
