Following a month-long summer hiatus, fans were once again able to take a little time to enjoy The View this week.

The popular ABC daytime show returned on Tuesday with a few surprises in store for fans. For one, Tuesday's episode marked the first time since March of 2020 that Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin were together in-person at the ABC studio. What's more, following Meghan McCain's departure from the show at the end of last season, the network has since decided to feature a rotating roster of celebrity and conservative guest hosts.

The first guest cohost so far is former Republican U.S. Representative Mia Love, who first appeared on The View this Wednesday. During her premiere episode as guest cohost, Mia sat alongside Whoopi, Sara, Joy and Sunny and debated about all kinds of Hot Topics, including doctors refusing to treat unvaccinated patients and Governor Greg Abbott's new restrictive abortion law in Texas.

Through it all, folks on Twitter expressed their thoughts on Mia's commentary. While the reactions were varied, many seemed to enjoy hearing Mia's perspective on both the heavy and lighter topics discussed on Wednesday.

"I disagree with Mia on a lot of things but I will say that she was very thoughtful and offer bold solutions to address issues. I respect her and it was nice to see a strong Black woman who has a different view on tv discussing her views a breath of fresh air I will say," one fan tweeted. "Absolutely loved her on the view this morning! Her commentary was focused and riveting!," another said. "I think she should be a new panellist [sic.]," a different viewer commented.

As previously mentioned, Mia is one of several temporary cohosts The View is featuring while the network seeks to find a permanent conservative to fill in for Meghan. According to Deadline, ABC has already booked Condoleezza Rice, Gretchen Carlson and Alyssa Farah for the upcoming months.

Apart from that, S.E. Cupp, Eboni K. Williams, Mary Katharine Ham, Cameran Eubanks and Carly Fiorina are all set to appear at some point, as well. On September 10, fans should also be prepared to see former View cohost Star Jones return. Star will be one of many past cohosts coming back to The View as part of the show's 25th anniversary season.
