Arts and Culture Meet & Greet Kicks off 2021 Club Season

Media, Pa., September 7, 2021 – The Delaware County Press Club is thrilled to announce that members of the Delaware County Arts Consortium will be the special guests for their Celebration of the Arts Happy Hour event on Wednesday, September 22nd from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Community Arts Center, 414 Plush Mill Road, Wallingford, PA. The event kicks off the Club’s 2021-2022 season and is a celebration of Delco Arts Week taking place October 2 – 9, 2021.

At the Celebration of the Arts event, members of the press and guests will have the opportunity to learn about the many unique artistic venues and cultural experiences that Delaware County has to offer; get an inside look into the Arts Consortium organizations and learn about their latest programs and productions, music projects, and exhibitions; and find out how residents can access a wide range of art experiences throughout the County during Delco Arts Week. Additionally, Delaware County Council will present a resolution to the members of the Delaware County Arts Consortium in recognition of the work they have done to promote the arts in Delaware County.

Press Club President Andrea DiFabio said, “Delaware County has a thriving arts community so we’re very excited to collaborate with members of the Delaware County Arts Consortium for this special event. The Press Club is a great vehicle for showcasing and connecting the arts organizations to the media and arts loving attendees. It will allow journalists and guests alike to take a deeper look into our diverse local creative community.”

All Press Club events are open to the public. Tickets for the Happy Hour event are $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Guests will enjoy a catered buffet with an assortment of pre-packaged sliders, appetizers, one-bite desserts, beer and wine. Reservations are recommended but guests can also pay by cash, check, or credit card at the door. Check in and networking begin at 4:30 p.m. Attendees are asked to wear masks at the event when not eating or drinking. For more information and tickets, visit thepressclubpa.org/events. 

Please consider bringing a new book or two for students in grades K through eighth for the Press Club’s Book Drive.

Membership in the Press Club is available to individuals, businesses, and students working in all fields of communications and allied communication fields.
