Cervera Real Estate, the Miami-based brokerage with the largest portfolio of new construction sellouts in South Florida, was recently awarded affiliate status in Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® and its luxury marketing division, Luxury Portfolio International®.

Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® (LeadingRE) is a global real estate community comprised of 550 independently owned real estate companies that are awarded membership based on rigorous standards for service and performance.

With 4,600 offices and 150,000 sales associates in 70 countries, these firms represent 1.3 million global transactions annually. In 2020, the LeadingRE network sold $296 billion dollars in sales volume, over $36 billion more than its closest competitor, according to REAL Trends.

Veronica Cervera Goeseke, CEO and co-principal of Cervera Real Estate, made the official announcement during the firm’s annual corporate summit on August 26th.

“This distinction ensures that our customers are working with exceptional local professionals who also deliver connections to buyers and quality real estate companies across the country and around the world,” said Cervera Goeseke. “Our firm will also benefit from LeadingRE’s industry-leading international referral network, award-winning learning programs and events, professional marketing resources and more.”

Held at Mr. C Hotel in Miami’s Coconut Grove neighborhood, the Cervera summit featured a gathering of the brokerage’s executives, sales associates, and special guests. Among them included keynote speaker Miami Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, as well as representatives from the global affiliate network.

“We are delighted to have Cervera Real Estate as part of our distinguished network of premier brokerages. The company has an impeccable reputation in South Florida, and we are committed to helping the firm achieve even greater success,” said Jennifer Harding, vice president of business solutions at LeadingRE.

Cervera Real Estate also earned membership in Luxury Portfolio International® (LPI), an exclusive group of LeadingRE companies that are among the most well respected and well-known experts in luxury real estate markets worldwide. LPI attracts a global audience of affluent consumers and markets approximately 50,000 of the world’s most remarkable homes annually on luxuryportfolio.com.

“As a member of LeadingRE and LPI, Cervera Real Estate combines authentic, local expertise with unparalleled resources and connections to the highest quality real estate firms and luxury specialists worldwide,” said Mickey Kahn, president of LPI.

Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, managing partner and co-principal of Cervera Real Estate, noted that selection as a member of LeadingRE and LPI represents another step in the firm’s growth and its strength in the market.

“This partnership expands upon our previously existing distribution network that spans across Latin America, Europe and the Middle East,” said Cervera Lamadrid. “It will open new distribution channels for us in U.S. feeder markets and across the globe, extend our marketing reach, and allow us to service existing clientele that are looking to buy property or relocate outside of Miami.”

The announcement of the new global affiliate network caps a period of strategic growth by the firm that began last year with the appointment of Michael Monte as director of business development early in 2020.

Focused on helping the 51-year-old brokerage reinforce its leadership position as the developer’s choice in the South Florida marketplace, Monte led a corporate initiative to enhance the real estate brokerage’s sales and marketing platform through investment in technology.

In addition to spearheading the LeadingRE and LPI initiative, Monte leads major marketing projects, including the launch of a new corporate website and the introduction of the CerveraHub, a new suite of tools for the company’s sales associates.

Developed in partnership with MoxiWorks, an industry leading real estate platform for residential brokerages, the CerveraHub features a sophisticated CRM, cutting-edge buyer and seller presentation tools with built-in CMAs, a property marketing concierge center for listing agents, and single agent websites featuring IDX search.

“My focus over the past year has been to drive revenue growth for the firm through sales productivity and the recruitment of top-tier sales associates,” says Monte, a 20-year business professional with a diverse background including business technology.  “Our affiliation with LeadingRE and LPI, together with our robust sales and marketing platform, training resources, and personalized attention, makes for a compelling recruitment offering that is unmatched in our marketplace.”

Established in 1969 by Alicia Cervera Sr., often referred to as the “Queen of Brickell,” Cervera Real Estate has played an integral role in every major Miami real estate cycle since the late ‘70s, beginning with The Palace on Brickell developed by the iconic New York real estate tycoon Harry Helmsley.

Since then, the Cervera name has listed more than 115 luxury high-rise condominiums totaling $16 billion in sales – and in the process helped to revitalize neighborhoods across the region, including the Brickell financial district, Miami Beach’s South of Fifth, Downtown Miami, Coconut Grove, and Edgewater.

In 2016, Miami Dade County Mayor Tomás Regaldo recognized Alicia Cervera Sr. for her contribution to the growth of Miami as an international global city, proclaiming that “no other woman has had a larger impact on the development of Miami since Julia Tuttle founded the city in 1895.”

“Our mother created this company as a platform to service developers and with a vision that Miami would one day become a vertical, hemispheric city,” says Cervera Goeseke. “My sister Alicia and I, together with members of the third generation, my daughter Alexandra Goeseke Cervera and niece Alicia Lamadrid Paysse, are proud to carry on that legacy.”
