Emmys 2021: Where to Stream the Nominated Series

Ahead of the 73rd Emmys on Sept. 19, here's how to watch the comedy, drama and limited series nominated for multiple awards.

Regardless of which series wins the most awards, it’s the streaming services that are dominating the 2021 Emmys. Though WarnerMedia’s HBO and HBO Max together nabbed a total of 130 nominations, Netflix scored 129 nods, while Disney+ (71), Apple TV+ (35), Hulu (25) and Amazon Prime Video (20) were among the streaming platforms with strong showings.

That means that prior to the big awards night, viewers can easily watch many of the most-nominated TV series.

Wondering how and where to catch up on the series with the most Emmy nominations? Shows such as Bridgerton, Cobra KaiThe Crown, Emily in Paris, The Queen’s Gambit and others are streaming exclusively on Netflix (or available for purchase on other services), and you’ll only find The Mandalorian and WandaVision on Disney+. Ditto goes for Hulu-only The Handmaid’s Tale and Pen15, while Amazon Studios’ The Boys and The Underground Railroad are only on Amazon Prime Video.

The superhero series can be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Bridgerton

The first season of Netflix and Shondaland’s adaptation of Julia Quinn’s best-selling novels has earned 12 Emmy nominations, including for outstanding drama series, best lead actor for Rege-Jean Page, directing for a drama series, period costumes, production design for a narrative period or fantasy program, casting for a drama series, cinematography for a single-camera series (one hour), period and/or character hairstyling, music composition for a series, original main title theme music, music supervision, and character voiceover performance (Julie Andrews). The Regency-era series streams exclusively on Netflix.

Cobra Kai

The third season of Netflix original series Cobra Kai has earned four Emmy nominations, including outstanding comedy series, stunt performance and sound editing and sound mixing for a comedy or drama series. Already renewed for a fifth season, the family dramedy inspired by the Karate Kid film franchise is exclusively streaming on Netflix. Past episodes and seasons can be purchased on Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, iTunes/Apple TV, Vudu and YouTube Premium.

The Crown

The fourth season of Netflix original series The Crown leads this year’s nominations with 24 nods (and tying with The Mandalorian). The Flight Attendant

Netflix series The Kominksy Method has been once again nominated for Emmy awards, with its second season earning seven nods. The dramedy has been recognized for outstanding comedy series, lead actor in a comedy series for Michael Douglas, supporting actor in a comedy series for Paul Reiser, guest actor in a comedy series for Morgan Freeman and sound mixing for a comedy or drama series. Lovecraft Country
