BATAVIA — An Alabama woman has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison for stabbing a coworker in July 2020 in Elba.

Colleen Nelson, 50, who pleaded guilty this July to first-degree attempted assault, a violent felony, in the stabbing of David Chase on July 29, 2020, at Oliver’s Candies, was also sentenced Wednesday by Genesee County Court Judge Charles Zambito to five years of post-release supervision.
