Reading Royals sign forward Patrick Bajkov

The 23-year-old had 16 goals and 23 assists in 53 games last season for Greenville

Forward Patrick Bajkov has signed an ECHL contract with the Reading Royals, the team announced Wednesday.

Bajkov, 23, played the previous two seasons with the ECHL’s Greenville Swamp Rabbits. He had 16 goals and 23 assists in 53 games last season after registering 20 goals and 24 assists in 64 games in 2019-20.

He played 18 games for the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds in 2018-19, with three goals and two assists. He’s also played for the Manchester Monarchs and the Florida Everblades in the ECHL.

Bajkov, a native of Nanaimo, British Columbia, played junior hockey for Everett in the WHL, where he was teammates with current Royals Brayden Low and Josh Winquist, as well as Philadelphia Flyers goalie Carter Hart.
