The Milwaukee Bucks have signed guard Tremont Waters to an Exhibit 10 deal. This is a non-guaranteed contract for Waters that can be converted to a Two-Way deal. Milwaukee can also gain Affiliate Player rights for Waters, should he join the Wisconsin Herd of the G-League if Waters is waived following the preseason.

Waters spent the first two seasons of his NBA career on Two-Way contracts with the Boston Celtics. Waters played in 37 total NBA games (four starts) in 2019-20 and 2020-21. In the NBA, Waters averaged 3.8 points and 2.1 assists per game.

With the then Maine Red Claws (now Maine Celtics), Waters won G-League Rookie of the Year in 2019-20. He averaged 18 points, 7.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game. Waters will compete for a backup point guard spot with the Bucks behind Jrue Holiday and George Hill.
