A Sept. 11 memorial ceremony will take place Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Southampton Fire Department, 470 Hampton Road in Southampton Village. There will be several speakers and a rededication of the monument. Parking is on Hampton Road and Narrow Lane, portions of which will be closed to traffic for the duration of the ceremony along with Potato Field Road.

Riverhead town officials will remember the lost with a wreath-laying ceremony on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the World Trade Center Memorial Park, located at the corner of Edwards Avenue and Riley Avenue in Calverton.

The East Hampton Town Fire Chiefs Association will hold a memorial service on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Hook Mill green in East Hampton Village. The speakers will be Kevin O'Brien, the association's president, and Thomas Gardella, an Army veteran and former Sag Harbor Fire Department chief who is the department's chaplain and a village trustee in Sag Harbor.

On Tuesday, three F.D.N.Y. companies will join together for a five-day memorial bicycle ride honoring the 343 firefighters who died on Sept. 11, 2001. The ride begins at 7 a.m. in Montauk at the Snug Harbor Inn and will wrap up in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 18.
