The Milwaukee native is now a two-time gold medalist. During a close match-up against Japan, Williams helped Team USA win their second consecutive Paralympic gold.

Williams said he had a lucky charm from back home: A reminder of his favorite NBA basketball player.

"I bought [Giannis'] sneakers just for the Olympics and I wore them every game. So, maybe they brought me good luck," he said.

Despite a tough pandemic year leading up to the tournament, Team USA's men's paralympic basketball team came out on top, defeating Japan 64-60.

This was just one of Team USA's 37 gold medals in the Paralympics. The U.S. brought home 105 Paralympic medals in all.
