Anderson Silva vs. Georges St-Pierre is the mixed martial arts (MMA) “super” fight that fans dreamed of, and “The Spider” thinks Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President, Dana White, should step out of the way and let the two legends box.

Silva is currently preparing for a boxing match against fellow former UFC champion, Tito Ortiz, which will take place inside Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., on Sat., Sept. 11, 2021, streaming online via Triller pay-per-view (PPV).

Silva was recently asked if he would be interested in boxing St-Pierre.

“It’s a possibility,” Silva told MMA Fighting’s Trocacao Franca podcast. “Georges St-Pierre is a guy that deserves all respect. Not only him but all fighters. Vitor [Belfort], Tito [Ortiz], [Oscar] De La Hoya — they are legends. And I think it would be an interesting fight, but we need the almighty to stop being annoying and let the guy move on.

“Nothing coming from Dana surprises me, brother,” he continued. “I would like [White] to free him [from his contract]. He’s in shape to continue fighting, there’s no reason why you would keep him stuck [there] just for ego. It’s ridiculous. That’s my opinion, it’s ridiculous. Let the guy go.”

GSP — a former two-division UFC champion — previously revealed how White blocked a planned boxing match between St-Pierre and Oscar De La Hoya.

“At first he says to me that the reason why he did not want it is because he thought that Oscar would basically destroy me in a boxing match,” the Canadian said at the time. “And I had some good arguments — I told him that I believe Oscar has more mileage than I do, he’s no longer in his prime, I stayed busy the whole time, I’m still in great shape, I’m going to be very well prepared and I’m taking this fight very seriously.”
