City of West Columbia passes mask mandate

WEST COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–The West Columbia City Council approved an emergency mask mandate Wednesday.

The Council convened Wednesday afternoon to approve the mandate, which requires masks in all buildings open to the general public.
Violators could face fines of up to $25.
The ordinance goes into effect Friday, September 10 at 6am.
