With the release of the Big Ten schedule Wednesday, Ohio State's 2021-22 basketball schedule is set. Ohio State has known it's home and road conference opponents since May, but now dates have been set for those matchups.
The Buckeyes will start the regular season on Nov. 9 at Value City Arena against Akron.
Notable non-conference matchups for the Buckeyes include Xavier on Nov. 18, Seton Hall on Nov. 22, Florida or Cal on Nov. 24, and Duke on Nov. 30 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
Ohio State's conference schedule will begin on Dec. 5 at Penn State.
This marks the fifth consecutive season Big Ten play will start on the first weekend of December. The Buckeyes open on the road at Penn State on Sunday, Dec. 5. They will then return home to host Wisconsin on Dec. 11 before completing the non-conference portion of their schedule the rest of the month.
The Buckeyes' first home Big Ten game will be on Jan. 9 against Northwestern.
The regular season wraps up with a pair of matchups in Columbus with Michigan State (March 3) and Michigan (March 6). Nine of the Buckeyes final 11 opponents made the NCAA Tournament last year.
