“Hayao Miyazaki” Is a Richly Packed Book That Every Studio Ghibli Fan Needs

The book is in collaboration with Studio Ghibli and is published in part to celebrate the 2021 inaugural exhibition at Los Angeles’ Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. An event that marks the first North American retrospective on the legendary artist, producer, and filmmaker. Fans can piece together Miyazaki’s aesthetic process from all 11 of his feature films, such as the director’s seminal masterpiece, Spirited Away (2001).
