Colts' Carson Wentz expected to play vs. Seahawks in Week 1

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz is set to practice in full on Wednesday and is expected to play in the Week 1 season opener against the Seattle Seahawks, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Wentz underwent foot surgery at the start of training camp and there were questions as to whether he would be available for the start of the season. However, a quick recovery for the 28-year-old has given him the chance to be on the field with his new team to begin the campaign.

After Wentz returned from foot surgery, he was able to practice once before going on the reserve/COVID-19 list as a close contact. He was activated off of the list late last week and is set to practice in full on Wednesday.

The Colts opened the week as slight underdogs to the Seahawks but they are hoping their new quarterback can help pull off a home upset.
