Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Pavin Smith is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's game against rookie right-hander Kohei Arihara and the Texas Rangers.
Smith started the last two games and recorded extra-base hits in both outings, but he's on the bench for Wednesday's outing. Christian Walker is replacing Smith on first base and batting sixth.
