Cowboy Bebop Showrunner Teases Ed's Role in Netflix's Live-Action Series

Netflix's live-action adaptation of Shinchiro Watanabe's neo-noir anime series Cowboy Bebop is one of the most highly-anticipated shows coming this year, and fans are excited to see the iconic characters come to life. Now, the showrunner has addressed questions about one of the show's leads.

Edward, an eccentric girl skilled at hacking, has not been publicly cast, so fans are wondering if the live-action adaptation will feature the character since it's hard to imagine the show without her. Jo Cho was cast as Spike Spiegel; Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black; and Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine, but no one has been announced to play Ed.

When Polygon asked showrunner André Nemec about Ed, he was careful not to reveal anything big, but this time, fans got a more assuring answer.

"Ed - everybody wants to know about Ed," Nemec said. "People will be ... very delighted when they watch the season."

It sounds like Ed will eventually show up in the first season of Netflix's Cowboy Bebop, but they are keeping details about the character quiet for now. However, Nemec's response will surely relieve fans hoping to see the live-action version of the hacker-kid.

Netflix's Cowboy Bebop is set to release on November 19, 2021. For more details about the series, check out everything you need to know about it here, and don't forget to follow our Netflix Rocks My World page on Facebook for the latest updates.
