NORTON SHORES, MI – A Cajun seafood style restaurant is coming to the Muskegon area.

King Crab expects to open its Norton Shores location, 5601 Harvey St., this fall. The new restaurant will replace the former Logan’s Roadhouse near The Lakes Mall.

An official open date has not been determined yet, but Eko Dananjaya with King Crab said the restaurant will launch in about two months.

King Crab started in Ohio and opened its first Michigan location in Lansing earlier this year, followed by restaurants in Jackson and Burton. A location in Auburn Hills is set to open later this month.

Serving Louisiana-inspired fare, the King Crab menu includes a variety of seafood, spices and po’ boy sandwiches.

“We will be serving good quality seafood, Cajun style, which is hot, spicy and buttery,” Dananjaya said.

Customers can create their own meal by selecting “your catch” of seafood then choosing from five spices: original Cajun, dry, garlic butter, lemon pepper and plain.

The seafood menu includes items like clams, lobster tail, shrimp, scallops and crab legs. Prices range from $6 for half a pound of clams to $35 for a pound of king crab legs.

After the Norton Shores location opens, King Crab plans to open a sixth restaurant in Mishawaka, Indiana.
