Armin van Buuren, Eric Prydz, Carl Cox and more team with VR concert platform Sensorium Galaxy

Sensorium Galaxy, an upcoming VR platform promising premier live music events, will partner with some of EDM’s biggest names for concerts that will take place in its “metaverse”.
Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren, Black Coffee, Eric Prydz, Charlotte de Witte and Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike have signed on to perform exclusive virtual concerts on Prism, one of the platform’s “worlds” dedicated to live music events.
Artists will perform as digital avatars rendered using the same kind of 3D scanning technology employed in video games and movies.
Sensorium plans to launch Galaxy by the end of 2021 and will be announcing a full concert schedule closer to release day. The platform teams with Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by Jay-Z.
Prism was developed in partnership with Yann Pissenem, the designer behind Ibiza’s Ushuaïa and Hï nightclubs. The platform will also feature different worlds which serve different forms of art.

On top of support for VR headsets and an “augmented reality experience” via PC, there will also be a mobile app where users can “watch streams, build unique NPCs and communicate with them.”
