Thoughtcrimes: Hear Former Dillinger Drummer Blast on New Song "Misery's a Muse"

Billy Rymer's new hardcore band re-releasing 2019 EP on Pure Noise Records

Revolver has teamed with Thoughtcrimes for a vinyl reissue of their 2019 EP, Tap Night, on "black and red with heavy white splatter" wax. There're only 150 copies — order yours before they're gone!

In 2019, Thoughtcrimes, the rambunctious new hardcore band featuring ex-Dillinger Escape Plan drummer Billy Rymer, released their convulsive debut EP, Tap Night. Zeroing in on a delectable blend of hard rock and hardcore, the project was a total ripper didn't seem to get the love it deserved — and hopefully that's now going to change.

Today (September 8th), Thoughtcrimes have announced that they've signed to Pure Noise Records (Knocked Loose, Stick To Your Guns, Terror, etc.) and that their new label is reissuing Tap Night next month with a couple new songs attached to the tracklist. One of those fresh cuts is a chaotic hardcore banger called "Misery's a Muse" that the band have also shared today.

Fans of the Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die, Converge multiverse will certainly find a lot to love in this track and every other previously-released one on the EP. But the best part is that the band also sound modern enough to hang with the current generation of wily up-and-comers — MouthBreather, Callous Daoboys, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, etc.

The Tap Night reissue is out October 8th via Pure Noise Records and is now available for pre-order. Revolver has an exclusive vinyl variant on "black and red with heavy white splatter" wax that's only limited to 150 copies. Order yours now before they're gone!
