Stipe Miocic is someone that many people have as the Greatest Heavyweight of all Time, the ‘GOAT' if you will. Every fight he is involved with at this point affects his legacy.

He is at a point where he takes his time and makes sure that whatever fight he takes next makes sense both financially and career-wise. He recently spoke with MMAJunkie and discussed what's next for him, including a meeting with the UFC.

“We’re going to have a sit down here in September with Dana,” Miocic said. “We’ll figure it out from there. … We’ll hopefully figure that out in the next month. We’ll get there. Dana has been texting me and everything is in negotiations.”

Miocic hasn't fought since losing by knockout to Francis Ngannou earlier this year. Before that, he competed in a trilogy against Daniel Cormier, losing the first fight but winning the next two.

Surprisingly enough, Stipe Miocic still hasn't watched back the fight with Ngannou.

“I haven’t watched it yet,” Miocic said. “I will eventually. I haven’t yet. A lot of things could be better. Unfortunately, it was his night. He caught me with a good punch. What are you going to do? It’s the fight game.”

Heavyweight is currently all over the place with an interim title fight between Ciryl Gane and Derrick Lewis and Francis Ngannou is yet to defend the title. The interim title could have been next for Stipe Miocic but he wasn't offered it, and he wouldn't have accepted it if it was.

“An interim belt could’ve been next if I wanted it,” Miocic said. “I probably wouldn’t have taken it, but I would’ve loved to do that. I wanted the opportunity. But yeah, I definitely want a shot at my title to get my belt back.”
