Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas Metro Police say two people were shot, one fatally, at a hotel just east of the Las Vegas Strip early Wednesday.

Police were called to the Howard Johnson's motel on Tropicana and Koval around 3am, and when they got to the scene found a woman in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.

After speaking with the woman, whose wounds are not considered life-threatening, they entered one of the rooms and found a man who was shot. Medical personnel were called, but the man died at the scene.

Investigators didn't have many other details, but said they don't believe there are any suspects on the loose. Still, Metro is asking anyone with more information to contact them. If you wish to stay anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 (or go online to www.crimestoppersofnv.com)
