Kanye West Returns to No. 1 on Artist 100 Chart Thanks to ‘Donda’ Debut

Donda roars at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 309,000 equivalent album units, according to MRC Data, marking the biggest week of 2021 so far, surpassing the opening week of Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour (295,000, June 5). West earns his 10th No. 1, as he becomes just the seventh artist to reach the milestone.
West also lands 23 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, making him just the second artist to tally at least that many on the chart in a single week, after Drake (who banked a record 27 on July 14, 2018). “Hurricane” leads West’s entries (all debuts from Donda) at No. 6, followed in the top 20 by “Jail” (No. 10), “Off the Grid” (No. 11), “Ok Ok” (No. 12), “Junya” (No. 16), “Moon” (No. 17) and “Praise God” (No. 20).
