Houston Astros infielder Alex Bregman is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Tyler Anderson and the Seattle Mariners.
Bregman extended his hitting streak to eight games on Tuesday and the Astros appear to be giving him a breather for Wednesday's matinee. Marwin Gonzalez is covering third base and batting eighth. Yuli Gurriel is moving up a couple spots to bat third in place of Bregman.
numberFire’s models project Gonzalez for 6.7 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Wednesday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Astros have an implied total of 4.9 runs. Anderson is registering a 19.5 strikeout percentage and a 4.9 walk percentage (top 6% of the league) this season, with a 4.16 xERA and a .311 xwOBA.
