Power debuts with 98,000 equivalent album units earned in the Aug. 27-Sept. 2 tracking week, according to MRC Data.
It’s Halsey’s second Alternative Albums ruler, after Badlands crowned the chart in its debut week (Sept. 19, 2015). Halsey has since scored prominent pop success (on her own and with the likes of BTS, The Chainsmokers and Khalid, among others); Power marks a revisiting of her alternative roots on a full album, thanks in part to production from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails.

Concurrently, Power bows at No. 2 on the all-format Billboard 200. As previously reported, it’s Halsey’s third No. 2, tailing one No. 1, 2017’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. The new set also launches at No. 1 on Top Album Sales.
The entirety of Power infuses the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, led by pop radio single “I Am Not a Woman, I’m a God,” which starts at No. 6 with 8.7 million radio audience impressions, 7.6 million U.S. streams and 2,100 downloads sold. It’s Halsey’s fourth top 10, following the No. 5-peaking “11 Minutes,” with Yungblud and featuring Travis Barker (March 2019), and “Forget Me Too,” with Machine Gun Kelly (October 2020), and her featured turn on Thirty Seconds to Mars’ “Love Is Madness” (No. 9, April 2018).
“God” also jumps 33-27 in its second week on Pop Airplay, while “You Asked for This” starts at No. 37 on Alternative Airplay. The latter is Halsey’s first entry on Alternative Airplay without any featured artists since her breakthrough hit “New Americana,” which reached No. 18 in October 2015.
