Diddy has revealed that he is refusing to take sides in the ongoing feud between Drake and Kanye West. Rather, the rapper has opted to praise both artists for the recent release of their highly-anticipated LPs, with West revealing Donda and Drake sharing Certified Lover Boy.

"I had the chance to listen to both of these albums and first of all, I just wanna say, yo, you guys are true kings of creativity," Diddy said in a video shared to DJ Akademiks' Instagram. "Both of you guys are so special and so necessary. .... Thank y'all for the inspiration, you know? But I wanna make sure what hip-hop knows is ... that's the reach and the power that we have. And I really wanna take my hat off to these brothers for both sharing their truths."

The feud between Drake and West has been ongoing for the past decade. Things between the two rappers began to ramp up over the summer, with West taking shots at Drake in Donda and Drake leaking an unreleased Donda track with Andre 3000. Despite their bad blood, Diddy argues that what makes both their projects so great is love.

"Love decrees that they both win, that we win, and artists should keep pushing it to the limit to be the best. Not against another man, [not] just that because there is competition, but the best within yourself. I think that's why we're witnessing two greats and enjoying them. I'm having a ball and the music sounds beautiful."

West notably spent a month living in Atlanta's Mercedes Benz Stadium as he completed the finishing touches on Donda. Naming the record after his late mother, Donda was first teased in the summer of 2020 and continued to face delays until its release at the end of August.

Meanwhile, Drake has been working to promote Certified Lover Boy. The rapper will soon be curating music for 10 Monday Night Football games beginning this week, with tracks from his most recent LP sure to be included.
