The Wanted have announced some very exciting news for fans.

The boyband are set to reunite for the first time in seven years for a special charity concert, as well as releasing a greatest hits album including new music.

Max George, Tom Parker, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes first hit the charts in 2010 releasing hits such as 'All Time Low', 'Glad You Came', 'Chasing the Sun' and 'Walks Like Rihanna'.

The group went on hiatus in 2014 to pursue solo projects.

In 2020, they planned to reunite to celebrate their 10-year anniversary, but their plans were put back due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Tom then announced in October that he had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

Since filming his documentary Inside My Head for Channel 4 and finding out only 1% of the National Cancer Research budget goes towards researching treatments for brain tumours, he's been organising a concert at the Royal Albert Hall to raise funds.

The gig takes place on September 20, with The Wanted set to perform together there for the first time since their hiatus.

Former Strictly Come Dancing winner Jay said: "We have been talking off and on for a few years now about getting back together to do something for the anniversary but have all been working on other projects at different times so it didn't happen.

"This is all about having fun with our mates, no pressure, just fun."

Also performing are Liam Payne, McFly, KSI, Sigrid and Becky Hill.

Capital's Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay are set to host the event, and proceeds will be split equally between Stand Up To Cancer and The National Brain Appeal.

Tom Parker: Inside My Head - The Concert takes place at the Royal Albert Hall on September 20. Tickets are available here.

The Wanted's Greatest Hits collection will be released on November 12.
