The View is back and better than ever! Season 25 kicked off yesterday (Sept. 6), bringing all four co-hosts to the studio with a live audience for the first time in over a year. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg finally returned to the desk with co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, and Sara Haines. And without the conservative voice of Meghan McCain on the panel, things were a little quieter than usual — but that may change as a new talking head joins the desk today.

Mia Love is set to join the panel this week, and we have everything you need to know about the new co-host. This season, instead of replacing McCain immediately, the ABC talk show will have a revolving series of guest hosts like Love, including folks like Condoleezza Rice, Carly Fiorina, and Eboni K. Williams. Along with the conservative voices, The View also plans to bring back old co-hosts to return every Friday.

Ready to meet Mia Love? Here’s everything we know about the new guest host of The View:

Who is Mia Love, the new guest co-host of The View?

Ludmya “Mia” Love is an American political commentator and politician who served in Congress as a Representative from Utah. She is a Haitian American, and the first Black woman elected to Congress as a Republican. She’ll return to her hometown of New York City to film The View this week. In 2019, she was hired by CNN as a political commentator.

Love is similar to McCain in the sense that while she’s a dedicated member of the Republican Party, she has also been outspoken against former President Donald Trump. In her 2018 concession speech, Love said that Trump’s version of the world was “no real relationships, just convenient transactions.”

Is Mia Love the permanent replacement for Meghan McCain?

Not that we know of, nope. She could be — that’s because The View has yet to announce the permanent replacement for McCain. They’re “taking a little time” to find the official host, and in the meantime, we’re getting guest co-hosts as a replacement.

How long will Mia Love be a co-host on The View?

Mia Love will be co-hosting The View for just two days this week, beginning today and continuing into tomorrow’s (Sept. 9) episode.

Who is guest co-hosting The View next week? The View Season 25 guest host schedule:

Mary Katharine Ham is next week’s co-host of The View, sitting on the panel on Monday (Sept. 13) and Tuesday (Sept. 14). This season, the view will also invite old co-hosts back to the panel to celebrate TGIF with “Flashback Fridays.” This week, Star Jones will step in on Friday (Sept. 10), though next week’s is currently under wraps.
