The Buccaneers made a lot of history during the 2020 NFL season. From individual records being broken to some unprecedented accomplishments for the team, it was quite the run to the franchise’s second-ever Super Bowl win.

Mike Evans became the first player in NFL history to post seven straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons to start a career. Ryan Succop broke Matt Bryant’s single-season franchise scoring record. Tom Brady set a new single-season franchise record for passing touchdowns.

As a team, the Bucs set a new franchise record for points scored in a season, plus they ended the regular season with a franchise record-setting seventh consecutive game with 24+ points scored. And, of course, Tampa Bay became the first team in NFL history to play for the Lombardi Trophy in its home stadium. By now you certainly know that not only did the Bucs play for a championship at Raymond James Stadium—they also won it, 31-9, to deny the Chiefs of a second consecutive Super Bowl title.

Now, in 2021, the whole squad is back for the Buccaneers. And you can surely count on some more history being made, both in terms of individuals and the team as a whole. So, let’s see where things stand heading into Thursday night’s regular season opener against the Cowboys, shall we?
