Cupra Tavascan Extreme-E Concept Hints At Brand’s Second Electric Production Car

One of the last concepts to reveal itself yesterday is this: the Cupra Tavascan Extreme-E. The Tavascan name has been bandied around before, but now Cupra says that it’ll translate into an electric SUV for 2024 with hints of the design shown in the concept. This future Extreme-E challenger features flax-fiber construction for sustainability and has a multitude of 3D printed parts to reduce lead times in production.


BMW Isetta-Inspired Microlino 2.0 Electric City Car Launched In Final Production Form

Launched in its final form, the BMW-Isetta-inspired Microlino 2.0 will be available in three versions with three battery capacities. It’s taken its time coming to market, first presented in 2016, and now with a heavily reworked chassis from the original. But hey, we can forgive all that for its cute looks and a revamped interior.


Toyota To Spend $14 Billion On Battery Development By 2030

Toyota has an ambitious aim of halving battery costs by the second half of the decade. To do so they’ll be investing $14 billion into the development of lithium-ion power packs and solid-state batteries. Toyota has also introduced a new cell structure for its nickel-metal hydride batteries which is said to double power density.


Reader Snaps Standard 2022 Toyota Tundra Truck Undisguised

Thank CarScoops reader Nick D. for sharing this picture of an undisguised, non-TRD, 2022 Toyota Tundra. The truck has T-shaped headlights, C-shaped taillights, a kinked window line, stamped fenders, and a massive full-height grille. Changes under the hood for the new truck may include the discontinuation of the V8 for a V6, similar to that found in the latest Land Cruiser.


 

Dacia Jogger Unveiled On A Floating Platform Looking Larger IRL

Making its first public appearance at the 2021 IAA Mobility Show in Munich, the Dacia Jogger is marketed as a crossover with seven seats. In the metal, it seems to tread a fine line between estate and SUV, with lots of Volvo-inspired touches in the rear lights, and overall CrossCountry vibes. It promises to be the most affordable 7-seater in the market. Naturally.


Reckless Young Man Crashes A Tesla Model Y Into The Side Of Warehouse

Police appear to be looking into an incident involving a Tesla Model Y, which was filmed barreling into the side of a warehouse. Although driven by a group of young individuals, the car has dealership plates, and ownership is unknown. What isn’t questionable is how much worse it could have been, although the driver did claim “that sh*t was not slowing down bro.” Fortunately, no one was injured.

Alex Albon Joins Williams As Final 2022 F1 Seats Fall Into Place

The dominos in the F1 driver world keep falling as Alex Albon has been announced as a Williams F1 driver for 2022, replacing George Russell. The Thai driver will return to the grid after being dropped from the 2021 line-up by Red Bull — although the energy drinks team did keep him racing in DTM. He will join Nicholas Latifi who has also been confirmed for 2022.


Duck Says You Bloody Fool

A duck named Ripper has been reported to be the first talking duck known to science. The duck was found in Australia and repeatedly says what appears to sound like “you bloody fool,” a phrase that is thought to have been picked up from the bird’s caretakers. The duck was also able to imitate the sound of a door slamming shut.
