HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - Drivers heading westbound on Interstate 10 were in for some major delays Wednesday. Authorities worked for around 12 hours to clear the scene after an 18-wheeler caught fire just before the DeLisle/Pass Christian exit.

The truck burst into flames late Tuesday night at 11:35pm in the westbound lane at mile marker 22. Traffic remained backed up past County Farm Road for much of the morning on Wednesday, causing long waits for motorists.
