'Pepper Ann' is finally streaming on Disney+—here's how to watch

‘90s kids, rejoice! The first three seasons of the beloved animated series Pepper Ann started streaming on Disney+ on September 8. Pepper Ann was created by Sue Rose, the first woman to create a Disney animated series, and the show allowed the adolescent Pepper Ann and her group of friends to be unique and quirky.

Actress Kathleen Wilhoite voiced Pepper Ann for all five seasons. The show also featured the voice talents of Danny Cooksey, Cree Summer, Clea Lewis, Pamela Adlon, and Get Smart actor Don Adams. The first three seasons premiered simultaneously on Disney+, but there is no news yet regarding when seasons 4 and 5 will arrive on the streamer.

Pepper Ann is a quintessential product of the 1990s. The comic strip about a 12-year-old girl named Pepper Ann Pearson originally appeared in YM magazine and was turned into a Saturday morning cartoon that aired on ABC from 1997-2000. Pepper Ann was later syndicated on the Disney Channel and Toon Disney.
The series follows Pepper Ann and her friends Nicky Little (voiced by Ellen actress Clea Lewis) and Milo Kamalani (Danny Cooksey), and her divorced mother Lydia (April Winchell) and little sister, Moose (Pamela Adlon). Pepper Ann usually finds herself in some kind of trouble with her school principal, Mr. Hickey (Don Adams), who has no time for her spirited hijinks.
The series also has some serious comedy cred behind it. One-time Daily Show correspondent Mo Rocca was a writer for Pepper Ann, as was Nahnatchka Khan, who has written and produced Fresh Off The Boat and Young Rock, and directed the Netflix film Always Be My Maybe.
